Sidaq Batra is a screenwriter and filmmaker from New Delhi and has worked on commissioned projects for Netflix, Sony, and TVF. Sidaq has participated in two commissioned Writer’s Rooms: Sudhir Mishra’s ‘Summer of ’77’, an 8-episode historical fiction series, and Season Two of Netflix’s ‘For Your Eyes Only’, a realistic spy-thriller. Additionally, he has written multiple spec pilots currently in the pitching stage. His work spans across genres such as family drama and romantic comedy to political drama, satire, and comedy drama. He has also written and directed three short films: ‘Antarvirodh’, ‘Hands That Don’t Talk’, and ‘Mandi Aanch’. The latter was selected in the top 3% of Netflix’s TakeTen Filmmaking Competition Season 2.
