Pavithra Sreekumar is a writer, assistant director and script development executive living in Mumbai. She completed her undergraduate in film and creative writing from Srishti Institute of Art, Design and Technology, Bangalore. She has worked as a director’s assistant in the Hindi film ‘Bhagwan Bharose’ (2023), a 2nd AD in the Hindi film ‘Aye Zindagi’ (2022) and as a chief AD in the Hindi film ‘Minimum’ (TBR). Pavithra has also worked as a creative producer for the Marathi film ‘Toh, Ti Ani Fuji’ (TBR) and as an assistant director for the pan-Indian documentary film ‘Candidates’ – a film about the rising chess prodigies of India. She has participated in screenwriting residencies and labs like Rewrite 2.0 and Writer’s Ink. Pavithra also enjoys writing poetry and film reviews. Her poems are published in a few poetry journals and her film reviews are published on Film Companion.
